Account deletion

Delete your Polidiot account.

Polidiot's mobile app remains in development. The in-app Delete Account control is not yet available while device, identity-provider, and data-erasure checks are completed. If you have an existing Polidiot test account, you can request deletion of your account and associated data using the contact path below.

Important: deleting your Polidiot account does not cancel an Apple App Store or Google Play subscription. Store-managed billing must be cancelled separately through Apple or Google.

In-app deletion (not yet available)

The steps below describe the planned in-app experience. They are not currently enabled in the mobile app.

  1. Open Polidiot and sign in.
  2. Open Profile.
  3. Select Delete Account.
  4. Review the deletion preview and any store-billing warning.
  5. Type DELETE exactly and confirm the final permanent-deletion prompt.

Polidiot will enable the in-app deletion control only after required device validation, account-verification, processor-erasure, and store-billing-warning tests pass.

Request deletion now

If you cannot access the in-app deletion flow, send a deletion request from the email address associated with your Polidiot account. Include only the information needed to identify the account; do not send passwords, payment-card details, or authentication codes.

Polidiot may need to verify that the requester controls the account before completing a web-submitted deletion request.

Account-linked data covered by deletion

Polidiot's current deletion contract is designed to remove or de-identify account-linked data including:

  • profile information and saved political geography;
  • selected interests and followed bills;
  • Pulse poll responses;
  • saved content;
  • local membership/subscription linkage records;
  • the Polidiot sign-in identity through the configured identity provider; and
  • the RevenueCat customer record when production RevenueCat erasure is configured.

What may remain

A minimal deletion tombstone and limited operational records may remain where needed to complete or safely retry multi-system deletion, prevent a deleted account from silently reactivating, maintain security, or satisfy applicable legal obligations. Polidiot does not retain the deleted account's normal profile or civic-preference data for continued product use.

Store subscriptions are separate

Deleting a Polidiot account or deleting a RevenueCat customer record does not itself cancel Apple or Google store billing. If you have a store-managed subscription, use the applicable Apple App Store or Google Play subscription-management controls to stop future renewals.
